7th November 2009 was special for me. It was the first time i entered the IIFT campus on a function as an Alumni. We have seen this night happening for the last 2 years and could realise this time, why it is one of the most grand and special events at IIFT. Being a passout this year itself, i felt still like a student. It was not that nostalgic for me the way it was for people who were coming here after years.
There were a lot of surprises in the form of balley dance being performed by special troupes - the first time in the history of IIFT. The campus was lit up so well that it looked like a newly crowned jewel. Aslo, there was huge participation from our batch which gave me an opportunity to reconnect with my old pals. Everyone was so excited about coming back to IIFT. Then add to it good food, cocktails and the rocking DJ dances, it was a very memorable time out there. Most of us never felt like going back, we got transported back to our MBA days when we use to dance till wee hours in the morning at such functions and the DJ never used to stop.
Somethings have still not changed like little bits of emosonal atyachaar ( for those who can interpret it), the undying spirit of the students, the booing happening in the auditorium and the memories, specially of the PDPs area, where we all went again and sat on the stairs, the way we did during our first few days at the campus 2 years back. It was so good to see so many of our batchmates , some of whom came from out of Delhi just for the event and many who were also equally enthusiastic but could not make it due to some constraints.
